All Gulaabi Bungalow pieces are produced in small batches by skilled artisans and master craftspeople.
Because each item is handmade, natural variations in size, shape, grain, and finish are to be expected. These differences are not flaws, but a hallmark of our process.
Simply put, no two pieces are ever the same. Your furniture is one of a kind, crafted especially for you.
Caring for Hardwood Furniture
- Dust regularly using a soft, dry cloth.
- Occasionally wipe with a lightly damp cloth to remove residue, and dry immediately.
- Use coasters, trivets, and felt pads to protect surfaces from heat, moisture, and scratches.
- Avoid placing hot or wet objects directly on the wood.
Temperature, Moisture & Seasonal Shifts
- Wood is a natural, living material that responds to its environment.

Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, excessive heat, high humidity, or very dry conditions.
- Indoor furniture is designed strictly for indoor use and is not suitable for outdoor environments.
- In tropical climates, hardwood may naturally expand, contract, or develop minor fissures during extreme summers or monsoons. These are usually repairable by a skilled carpenter.
- In rare cases, softer woods such as Mango wood or Sheesham wood may develop wood mites due to seasonal changes. This can be treated with a simple spray solution. Please contact us and we will be happy to assist.
Caring for Special Materials (Rope and Natural Fibers)
- Dust regularly with a soft cloth.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasives.

Wipe spills immediately with a damp cloth.
- A white petroleum-based solution may be used sparingly to remove marks if soiled.
Caring for Special Materials (Wicker and Cane)
- Dust regularly.
- Gently vacuum or brush to remove debris.
- Clean with a soft, damp cloth when required.
- Avoid contact with sharp objects, which may damage the cane.
- Wicker will naturally darken and, in seating, stretch over time. This is part of its character and only adds to its comfort and charm.
Delivery
What to Expect When You’re Expecting Gulaabi
- Your furniture is the result of many hands and many hours, from sourcing raw materials to final assembly.
- Our commitment is to deliver your piece only after it has been carefully finished, thoroughly quality checked, safely packaged, and transported to your doorstep. We stay in touch with you throughout the process and work closely with you on any logistical challenges.
Delivery Timeline
- Made-to-order furniture: 6–8 weeks
- In-stock products: 3–4 weeks
- A specific delivery date can be confirmed only after the item has completed production and passed final quality checks.
Coordinating Delivery
- Our team or delivery partner will contact you to coordinate delivery.
- We request flexibility with delivery windows and discourage rescheduling, as this may lead to delays or returned shipments.
- Depending on your location, delivery may be handled by the Gulaabi Bungalow team or a third-party courier.
Delivery & Unboxing
- Some items may be crate-packed or require assembly.
- Delivery partners may not be equipped to carry furniture up multiple flights of stairs or unpack items. Please ensure lift access or arrange additional help if required.
- Items that do not fit through entryways or service lifts will be the customer’s responsibility.
Transit Damage
- In rare cases, items may be damaged during transit.
- Please unbox and inspect your furniture within 7 days of delivery.
- Report any damage immediately with clear photographs.
- Do not leave parcels unopened for extended periods.
- Gulaabi Bungalow will arrange repair or touch-ups at your location at our expense.
Warranty
All furniture comes with a 1-year limited warranty from the date of delivery.
The warranty covers:
- Manufacturing defects
- Damage during delivery
- The warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Mishandling or misuse
- Commercial use
- Modifications
- Fabric elements such as upholstery, tufting, buttons, or zippers
Returns & Exchanges
Returns or exchanges are applicable only if the product:
- Is damaged during delivery
- Has a manufacturing defect
- Is incorrectly delivered
- If a product arrives damaged, we will first attempt repair through a local carpenter. If repair is not possible, we will arrange a pickup and replacement.

Outside of these cases, furniture is not eligible for returns, replacements, or refunds.
- For issues not covered under warranty, we can assist in arranging repairs at the customer’s expense.
Usage & Care Summary
- Dust daily with a soft cloth or duster.
- Wipe weekly with a damp cloth to prevent residue buildup.
- Protect from sunlight, moisture, heat, and extreme temperature changes.
- Indoor use only.
- Avoid improper handling, dropping, or misuse.
- Always use professional movers when relocating furniture.
